Through

Praise God, we’re going through.  ☺

One day, we’ll be through with “this.”

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:32

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10

When He set them free from the Egyptians, God had the right route planned out ahead of time for the children of Israel to reach the promise land.

Why do I have to go through “this?”

I’ve been thinking about that thought lately.  Lots of folks, including me, are going through some challenging times in their lives – I just need to remember that challenges are meant to grow me into God’s character, to strengthen me, to give me great faith, joy, peace, love and rest.

It was like the Holy Spirit said that the key word in the sentence is “through.”

Like the children of Israel in the wilderness, He’s setting us free from the “Egyptians” in our lives and He’s taking us through.  We won’t always be going.  We’ll finally be done with whatever the “this” is in our lives and will have arrived intact at the destination God planned for us to reach all along.  The place God wants us to reach will be worth anything we’re going through to get there.  We just need to trust Him.

Fear not, people.  God has everything in control.  He knows right where we are in our walk with Him.  He knows the best route for us and He’s bringing us through to a blessed place.

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.  I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:17-18

God bless,
