Believe

Happy Monday, Everyone!

The following was taken from Joyce Meyer’s “Closer To God Each Day” daily devotional for today.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust (believe) in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through (by) the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13

Jesus replied, “This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe…”

Little children usually automatically believe what their parents tell them, and that is how God wants us to be with Him. He wants us to believe what He says in His Word! Christians are often referred to as “believers,” and believers should believe!

Are you a believing believer, or a doubtful believer? Simple childlike faith produces a lot of good fruit. For example, joy and peace are found in believing (Romans 15:13). Doubt, reasoning, worry, and fear produce all kinds of misery, but it all can be avoided by making a decision to believe the Word of God. Believe that something good is going to happen to you. Believe that when you repent, your sins are completely forgiven. Believe that God wants to meet all of your needs, that He loves you and is always willing to help you.

When we believe, then we can enter the rest of God and really enjoy each day of our lives. We can take life one day at a time and trust that our future is secure in God.

If you are going to doubt anything, doubt your doubts.

God bless,

Mark
