Merry Christmas!

Annie and I were talking this Christmas morning. We concluded again, “Wow, where would our lives be without wonderful Jesus?”

What is Christmas about anyways? It’s really about the supernatural, immeasurable light and glory meaning is in the words the angels proclaimed to the shepherds out in the fields.

9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid! (Fear not!)” he said. “I bring you good news (glad tidings) that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
Luke 2:10-11

God sent Jesus into the world to save us, to redeem our lives from destruction, to set us free indeed to bring us His great joy.

Do you have fear? Weary? Hurt? Are you a worrier and do you have anger? Do you get jealous? Do have an unforgiving heart? Do you get careful about things? Anxious about your future? Discouraged? If so, then you’re the reason Jesus came into this world. God loved you so much that He sent His only Son to save you so you could have His great joy.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (From the ravages of sin).
John 3:16-17

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me (Jesus); because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Isaiah 61:1-4

Don’t be afraid, for I (Your Savior) am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious (righteous) right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Merry (Good tidings) Christmas, everyone!

God bless,

Mark
