Jesus Christ, The Same Yesterday, Today and Forever

6 Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:6-8

Jesus knew the devil, and us being conformed to this world, would tempt us to fear. That’s why there are so many verses in the Bible that address fear. God wants us to live in faith, not fear. And we can when we praise and thank Him in all things.

Jesus, our Prince Of Peace, is still calming storms.

I was thinking about how each generation has difficult times to face like wars. I thought of how it’s kind of recognized as a right of passage somehow to make it through hard times. But then God said to me, “People don’t have to look at difficulty like that. They can let My peace reign in their heart all the time. It’s a choice. They don’t have to let fear get them all worked up and anxious. They can simply let Me lead in their lives every day.” We don’t need rights of passage. We need to remember to stay in Jesus at all times as He works all things together for our good. It’s true.

Let Jesus take your life – your mind, body and emotions – down a few thousand rpms.

Trust Jesus. That’s simple enough for a CCPTSD person like me. ☺

Most of us have mirrors in our restrooms. When you’re in there today, would you do me, yourself and God a big favor? Would you stop and look in the mirror? Take a deep breath, and let God tell you how much He loves that person in the mirror.

Jesus Christ, the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). That’s where Jesus is taking everyone of us if we’ll let Him. He taking us to that trusting, restful, faith-filled, joyful place called “The same yesterday, today and forever.”

Mark Hellikson, the same yesterday, today and forever. Wow, sounds nice. Go ahead, put your name in there…

God bless,

Mark

Note: While we may not agree with everything a particular church or Christian group teaches or believes, there are times when we can be blessed by something outside the realm of our current understanding of God.
