The Unseen Eternal Realm Over The Temporal, Seen Realm

Ann and I spent many years trying to walk by sight. We simply didn’t know how to walk (live) by faith instead of by sight. Our lives were miserable.

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2 Corinthians 5:7

I had another migraine Sunday morning that’s left me feeling really demoralized, slow thinking, hurting, and weak – that’s nothing new.

But God…Yay!

Ann and I were talking about some things this Tuesday morning and she mentioned how easy it is to be tempted to live by the things we see instead of making the effort to live by God’s Word. It’s so easy to live by the dictates of the weak flesh instead of taking the thoughts of the flesh captive to the obedience of Christ.

That’s when I told Ann I could not possibly live with all the migraines, CCPTSD, broken back, work issues, and all of the other challenging situations and issues in my life that try to take me out if I didn’t have The Word to point out to me how much more important the unseen, eternal realm is over this temporal, physical world. God has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ Who has overcome the world. In Him, alone, we can overcome the world, our hurts, our past, our worries, our physical hardships and all the rest. That’s really good news for someone like me. This is the message I love and live to proclaim to others.

So come on, let’s get out there and see what wonders God has in store for us. Let’s live the exciting adventure only He can give us as we trust in Him and choose to walk by faith and not by sight every moment of each day. The rewards for doing so are beyond our wildest dreams.

These things I (Jesus) have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

Good talk. ☺
