My Heart Needs/Seeks His Love

1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I (Jesus) am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit (all of Who Jesus is coming to live in my life – such love); so you will be My disciples.
John 15:1-8

Why do I love Jesus? Because I was such a wreck. I thought I was a Christian, but I didn’t have much of Jesus living in me if I’m truthful. I was scared, bitter, jealous, confused, and all the rest. When I began to come under the conviction of Holy Spirit, I began to see clearly how far I was from God. I began to seek Him in an all-out manner and life has never been the same. It’s been challenging letting Him change me and I still have so much to learn. But there is nothing like Jesus and He is so faithful to keep me following Him, to keep me choosing Him.

Take my (Jesus) yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29

There is nothing in the universe that compares with Jesus’ love. He keeps pruning me and showing me His great love for me.

Thanking and praising God in all things,

Mark
